Musculoskeletal

A musculoskeletal ultrasound refers to all areas of the body that contain joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Musculoskeletal ultrasounds can be used to investigate acute injuries, sports and work-related injuries as well as causes of chronic musculoskeletal pain. Examples of areas that can be examined include the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. There is no preparation required for musculoskeletal ultrasounds.
