ABOUT mid north imaging
Director / sonographer
Vanessa Duke, AMS
Vanessa graduated from the University of South Australia in 2003 with a Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Radiography), before completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Sonography in 2007. She built her clinical expertise at Flinders Medical Centre and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, before returning closer to home to work as a Sonographer at Clare Hospital. During this time, she played a key role in the SA Medical Imaging Country Leadership Team, contributed to the development of future sonographers as a student assessor with the University of South Australia, and was actively involved in the writing of the SA Medical Imaging Country Protocol Manual – helping to standardise imaging practices across regional sites.
Vanessa’s deep connection to the region and understanding of the unique needs of rural communities are at the heart of Mid North Imaging. Her mission is to provide high-quality ultrasound services that are not only accessible and affordable, but also centred around genuine patient care. Every aspect of the clinic is designed to ensure patients feel supported, respected, and well cared for – close to home.
radiologist reporting
All examinations are interpreted by experienced, Australian-based radiologists. We provide accurate, high-quality reports with fast turnaround times, including urgent reporting when required, to support timely care and informed clinical decision-making.
ACCREDITATION & TECHNOLOGY
Accreditation provides a commitment to the community that a diagnostic imaging practice meets expected standards for safety and quality. Mid North Imaging is accredited by Health and Disability Auditing Australia (HDAA) under the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme.
Our technology is world class – we use the GE Logiq E10S Ultrasound, which features an exceptional level of clinical performance, workflow, and advanced intelligence. Our goal is to give referring practitioners accurate and detailed scans that assist in delivering excellent care.
